ASSESSMENT & PROMOTION RULES
The final assessment of the pupil for promotion shall be decided on the basis of the usual record of the pupil for maximum marks in each subject distributed as follows from VI onwards.

Rule of Promotion for Classes VI to IX and XI
- Each student would need to pass the continuous and Comprehensive evaluation as well as the annual examination seperately with the least 1/3 marks. Thus each child should obtain not less than 20 marks out of 60 in each subject in the continuous and comprehensive assessment for VI onwards and 13 matks out of 40 in annual examinations, for being promoted to the next class.
- The aggregate marks required for promotion to the next class should be in classes VI to VIII and 40% in class IX onwards & XI.

Primary Section - Grading System:
From the session 1995-96 KVS has adopted a new approach to Primary Education. The KVS Grading System on 5 point scale for Class - I to V has been adopted. On this 5 point scale the Grades will be given as under according to the competency level of a particular child:
