GAMES AND SPORTS OF KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA, ASANSOL


Structured the school activities in such a manner as to ensure an all-round development of the students instead of confirming to mental & physical development through lessons in the class. Adequate opportunities are provided to students to take part in games and a variety of other co-curricular activities. This helps the student develop a healthy spirit of sportsmanship and companionship, which will enable them face life with ease. This will also help them develop physically, aesthetically and morally.

Physical and health education are an integral part of the academics. The students are encourage to participate in sports activities in different levels, namely (a) Within a Vidyalaya between different "Houses" into which the students are divided (b) Between two or more vidyalayas at the cluster level (Inter School) (c) Between clusters at the regional level (d) Between regions at the national level.

The Objectives are:
  • To develop the physical faculties of the students.
  • To ensure most participation of the students.
  • To spot out talent and nurture it.
  • To develop spirit of sportsmanship and leadership qualities.
The national level K.V.S sport meet are also availed of to select the KVS teams for the National Sport meet organised by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI)

Notes:
  1. All the matches will be conducted as per latest rules.
  2. All the matches will be played KNOCKOUT BASIS.
  3. All the House Masters / Captains are requested to submit the players list two(2) days before start of each game.
  4. Annual Sports Meet: -
    One Student can participate in only three events excluding Relay Race.
    Maximum 2 students can participate in each event from each house.
